WOTS provides an opportunity to have part of your manuscript reviewed by a professional author and instructor. Designed for both the novice and the published writer, a limited number of one-on-one manuscript critiques are by appointment with an additional non-refundable fee of $42 when you register for the conference. 

  • Appointments are 15-20 minutes, scheduled during Friday, Saturday and Sunday session times. If you have an appointment, plan to miss part of a session
  • Appointments are limited to first come, first served, based on availability. A wait list is available once appointment schedule is full.
  • Pay for your appointment with your registration. You will receive a call from the office to schedule your appointment time after you register. Calls will be made in the order of registrations received (all completed registrations have a time and date stamp).
  • If you have an appointment, the deadline to submit manuscript pages is Thur. August 29th, 2019. Writers whose manuscripts are not received by the deadline forfeit their appointment to someone on the wait list.
  • Please do not mail your manuscript. "Save As" a single document (Microsoft Word or PDF) and Email toThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • No refund on manuscript critique fee.


Sold Out - Fiction and Nonfiction Critiques

Kerrie Flanagan, Matthew Sullivan or Gail Folkins

  • Limit one manuscript per person.
  • Pages must be double spaced, on 8.5 x 11" white paper with 1" margins on all sides, in a font size of 12 points.
  • "Save As" one document
  • No handwritten work.
  • Submit 10 pages of your story, starting with the beginning. On 1 additional page, include a short synopsis of the whole story, or a query/pitch, and a brief author biography.  


Appointments Available - Poetry Critique

Ken Letko

  • Submit 1 to 5 poems. All forms of poetry are acceptable.
  • All poems should be saved in one document, maximum 10 pages. Pages must be single spaced, font size of 12 points, 1" margins on 8.5 x 11" paper.
  • No handwritten work.
  • Include a brief author biography on an additional page.
