Manuscript Critiques

WOTS provides an opportunity to have part of your manuscript reviewed by a professional author and instructor. Designed for both the novice and the published writer, one-on-one manuscript critiques are by appointment with an additional nonrefundable fee of $40 when you register for the conference.

  • Sign up for an appointment with your registration. Appointments are scheduled in 30 minute increments and overlap with conference sessions. Attendees with appointments may miss part of a session.
  • You are not required to submit your manuscript at the same time of registration.  Deadline to submit manuscripts is the end of August (2017 date "tbd"). Writers whose manuscripts are not received by the deadline forfeit their appointment to a person on the wait list.
  • Please do not mail your manuscript. Instructions how to submit your manuscript via web page will be posted in early summer.
  • No refund on manuscript critique fee. You may decide, as the deadline to submit your pages approaches, that your manuscript is not ready for review. Just let us know and we will give your appointment time to someone on the wait list. If you are unable to attend conference and therefore cannot keep your critique appointment, please do not be a "no show." Please contact the office to let us know. Email notification is acceptable.
